The Jets are interested in bringing back Braylon Edwards, according to a source.
Edwards, who signed a one-year deal with the 49ers in 2011 and was released prior to the start of the playoffs, caught 11 touchdowns in 28 games with the Jets.
Cowboys Plan To 'Take Care' Of Romo
Tony Romo isn't scheduled to become a free agent until 2014, but the Cowboys are already planning to give him a new contract.
"Tony is going to play a lot more than two more years," vice president Stephen Jones said. "We are going to take care of Tony. Tony is going to be a Cowboy."
The Cowboys have not yet discussed a contract extension with Romo, according to the Star-Telegram, but Jones said the only issue that needs to be fleshed out is numbers.

Carlos Rogers hopes to follow the same route as fellow 49ers defender Ahmad Brooks, who avoided free agency with an extension earlier this week.
"I'm hoping we get somthing done so I don't test free agency," Rogers told SiriusXM NFL Radio.
If the 49ers can't reach a long-term contract with Rogers, they could put the franchise tag on him. The tag for cornerbacks is $10.6 million this year.
Rogers came to the 49ers on a one-year, $4.25 million deal last season and garnered his first Pro Bowl berth.
"As cornerbacks, we know our market value," he said.
Jaguars Won't Be Aggressive In Free Agency
The Jaguars were aggressive in free agency last year, but that won't be the case in 2012.
"What took place last year won't be the case this year," Gene Smith said. "It's not a place we want to be overly active year in and year out."
Last season, with the lockout, free agency overlapped with training camp.
The Jaguars signed linebackers Paul Posluszny and Clint Session, safety Dawan Landry, defensive end Matt Roth and nickel cornerback Drew Coleman.
Patriots Ask Ochocinco To Restructure Contract
The Patriots would like Chad Ochocinco to redo his contract.
When New England acquired the receiver via trade last year, which at the time was the final year of his contract, the two sides added two more years.
Ochocinco is due a base salary of $3 million in both 2012 and 2013.

The free agent told a Philadelphia radio station that he wants to sign with the Eagles and be reunited with his childhood friend, Michael Vick.
"Hey, man, nothing else would make me happier," the wide receiver said.
Burress said he would add a "unique dynamic" to the team's offense, joining a receiving corps that includes DeSean Jackson (a free agent) and Jeremy Maclin.
He added that he talks once or twice a week with Vick, and he believes it would be a "special deal" to team up with him because of their friendship and similar background.
"I really believe he can bring a championship to Philadelphia, and I'd love to be part of that," Burress said.
